HORIZONTAL RAIL SYSTEMS

ULTIMATE SAFETY

XSPlatforms horizontal rail systems (for short, the XSRail system) are easy to use and provide ultimate safety to any worker(s) attached to these systems. A maximum of six users can be secured to the system simultaneously.

The horizontal XSRail system is suitable for installation on flat/low sloped concrete roofs, walls and ceilings or (rigid) overhead structures. XSRail systems can be installed both indoors and outdoors, for example in aircraft hangers and in or on manufacturing facilities.

THE PERFECT FIT

The XSRail system is modular by nature, meaning that several components can be combined to make one optimal rail system, perfectly suited for your project. Different base plates allow for installation on roof, wall and/or overhead structures. XSRail lengths can be combined with 45 and 90 degree corners to follow different building shapes.

The maximum distance between two anchor points is 6 meters (19.5 feet). This means that the XSRail allows for longer lengths with less anchors, resulting in lower costs.

ADVANTAGES OF THE XSRAIL SYSTEM

The XSRail system is very suitable for situations were limited fall clearance is available as a rigid rail generates less deflection than for example a horizontal lifeline system in case of a fall is arrested.

Other advantages of the system:

  • Limited deflection, which requires less fall clearance;
  • The XSRail can easily be integrated into the structure of a building (for example in a ceiling);
  • Secures up to 6 users simultaneously on a single span;
  • Configuration with relatively limited number of components, due to longer span lengths (up to 6 meter per section);
  • Low maintenance; suitable for industrial and/or marine environments;
  • Easy installation; the XSRail can be installed with an Allen Key and a socket wrench.

XSRAIL RUNNER

The XSRail runner (horizontal) can be attached and detached to the XSRail at any point of the rail trajectory, by simply pulling the locking mechanism upwards and pushing the runner legs together. When released the legs will automatically rotate back to the locked position. Special thought went into the XSRail runner to provide smooth movement along the rail, providing maximum comfort to the user.

In combination with the rotating anchor point (360 degrees) on top of the runner this allows for the user to move about freely, while securely attached to the XSRail system.

OUR RANGE OF XSRAIL SYSTEMS

Our range of horizontal XSRail systems are suitable for installation on (flat/low sloped) concrete roofs, walls and ceilings of (rigid) overhead structures. Also this system can be mounted on ceilings or be incorporated in rigid overhead structures, such as steel I-beams.

Like most XSPlatforms fall protections systems the XSRail system is built up out of modular components. Meaning that several products can be used for all three types of installation: roof, wall and overhead.

CERTIFICATION

The conformity of the XSRail system has been approved by SATRA Technology Centre Ltd. (United Kingdom) according to the European Standards:

  • EN 795:2012 type D – Personal fall protection equipment – Anchor devices
  • EN/TS 16415:2013 type D – Personal fall protection equipment – Anchor devices – Recommendations for anchor devices for use by more than one person simultaneously.

The corrosion resistance of all XSPlatforms fall protection products is tested according to ISO 9227:2012. Furthermore the horizontal XSRail system has been designed to meet the requirements of the following standards:

  • ANSI Z359 (Fall Protection Code) and OSHA 1926.502.M:2011 (North America)
  • CSA Z259.16-15:2017 (Canada)
  • AS/NZS 1891.2:2001 (Australia and New Zealand)
